Amy Osterman

Amy manages a biophysics research lab at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Biology, dance, exercise, and nature are her passions. Introduced to West African dance and music in 1999, she became enthralled by it and the adventure continues - including being a dancer in Ayodele Drum & Dance (Chicago), traveling to Guinea, West Africa, to study traditional dance and music. She takes several small groups of her dance students to travel with her to Guinea annually to study with her teachers. Amy and her husband, Abdoulaye Camara, teach a weekly adult community dance class weekly at Ridgeville Park District in Evanston.
